The main task of Nord-UTTE is to co-ordinate the Nordic work in OECD's Test Guidelines Programme.

The name Nord-UTTE comes from the Swedish name of the group (NORDisk koordineringsgrupp för Utveckling av Testmetoder inom Toxikologi och Ekotoxikologi). The group aims at integrating the scientific and regulatory work on chemical testing in the Nordic countries. This is done by organising Network Meetings and supporting projects involved in the development of test methods. Nord-UTTE is a subgroup of the
Nordic Chemicals Group and financially supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers.

The main topics to be discussed at the meeting are Chemical mixtures - risk assessment, effects and scientifical considerations and In vitro/Non-animal issues. Furthermore, risk assessment and hazard evaluation of nano-materials will also be part of the meeting programme.
